About Chipper Kids:
The Chipper Kids(TM) web site has a memory game, coloring pages, and many fun ideas for parents and kids, but it all started with the creation of one very special book, Chipper Kids: Counting in the Crazy Garden. About the Author:
It all started when Margarette Burnette wrote a story about camels that won her a prize in a local writing contest. An admirer suggested that she should be a writer. But the timing wasn’t right, as she was in the first grade and had other priorities.
Fast forward a few years: she made it through school (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill). She got married. She had kids. And then she started writing. In addition to being a children’s book author, Margarette is a personal finance and parenting writer whose work has been published in Parenting, Pregnancy, Essence and many more magazines, as well as several web sites, including Bankrate.com, MSN Money, Yahoo! Finance and BlackEnterprise.com.
She lives outside of Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband and two young sons.
